Superstar Basketball is
one of the Top 100 Basketball websites in
the world. The website generates an average
of 1,500 - 2,000 hits a day depending on the
time of the week. The site generates at
least 1,000 hits on Sunday and up to 3,500
hits on Wednesday.
4. DEMOGRAPHICS
The league is located in
Southern California and it caters to
basketball enthusiasts from different ages
and different races. Diversity is a huge
part of our Superstar Basketball culture and
there are over 460 different basketball
players in our league. Players range from
ages 18-42 years old, men and women.
3. INNOVATION
The league is the first
of its kind in the world. Innovative
features such as: Sortable Stats, Superstar
Player of the Week, Top 5 Games of the Week,
and Overall stats makes the league unique
from its competition. Each game is archived
and two articles are provided each week for
different games: game
preview, game recap. Each article
generates at least 300 visits and are posted
on MySpace where more of their peers have
access to read the articles. The League has
implemented new technology such as podcasts,
highlight videos from All Star Weekend, and
a Player of the Week gallery.
2. GROWTH
The league started on
August 8, 2006 with just 6 teams participating in
the Inaugural Season. Four seasons later and in
just 1 year, the league expanded to
31 teams and 2 divisions. The league has
preserved its mantra of quality over
quantity and the quality of the website has
improved every season. In its second year, a
women's league of 5 teams was created and
its only a matter of time until Superstar
Basketball reaches out to create a league
for kids.

Every season, we provide
a
survey
for Team Captains/General Managers to fill
out. We are one of the few basketball
leagues who encourage players to work with
us and the feedback has been phenomenal. "We
didn't lose any teams until the start of the
4th season," said the League Commissioner,
Hanz Jimenez. "Technically, that
wouldn't even count because those teams
merged to create other teams." The
league is successful because the players
respect each other knowing that they can
play to their full potential without having
to worry about violence. The league has a
Zero Tolerance policy that everyone abides
by.
