“YOUNG GUNNAZ TRIPLE HEADER”
Flava vs. nWo Wolfpack
Two-time defending Champions Flava have a double-header on the Season Finale and they take once again face Wolfpack, a team that defeated them last week, 83-75.
“I still can’t believe it took six game for Flava to finally win a game,” said a spectator.
Kenneth Ubom is now the leading scorer of the division and he has a total of 113 points, 22.6 ppg. GM Mario Thompson ranks 2nd in assists with a total of 16 assists (3.2 apg). Derrick Andrews is the second leading scorer with 64 points, 16.0 ppg.
Former Finals MVP (Fall 2008) Sean Harris is averaging a team-high 16.0 ppg for nWo Wolfpack. Alphonso White is averaging 13.4 ppg while Daniel Sherman is averaging 11.0 ppg.
“It’s been boring all season since there’s only 4 teams but this last week is critical,” said a player from Wolfpack. “Next week is the real season, we need to prepare for the Playoffs.”
Flava vs. Young Gunnaz
Young Gunnaz have a triple-header against Flava, Wolfpack, and B3 Sports.
Word on the street is GM Kenny All wants to drop one of those games. Which will he drop? League Commissioner Hanz Jimenez booked B3 Sports for a double-header, but wouldn’t that give them 9 games instead of the regular 8 games per season?
“Commish is messing up…even with just 4 teams,” joked a Diamond Division player.
When the blunder was discovered on Saturday night, the schedule was updated.
“B3 should only be playing 1 game and Young Gunnaz should be playing 3 games. Everyone should finish with 8 games,” said Commish.
Young Gunnaz vs. nWo Wolfpack
Young Gunnaz defeated Wolfpack on Week 4, 64-56.
Reigning MVP of the League Amos Battle finished with a game-high 21 points while Cisco Acevado finished with 12 points, 2 three-pointers. Young Gunnaz are 4-1 and they currently rank #2 in the division. A growing concern for GM Kenny Ali is injury as both Amos Battle and James Acevado suffered injuries last week.
“The Playoffs is more important, he should sit them out,” said one of his peers. “However, that one week layoff is critical so I guess we’ll find out next week on what they decide to do.”
B3 Sports vs. Young Gunnaz
The two met in a Rivalry Game as recently as last week. B3 Sports won, 72-67. For the third time this season, the two teams will face against each other and the season series is tied at 1 apiece.
Which team will have the edge going into the Playoffs? Everything is up in the air for Diamond this season with the exception of who MVP is.
Dion Baily has been phenomenal all season. He ranks 1st in steals with 8 steals, 1st in assists with 21, 1st in rebounding with 56 boards, and ranks 2nd in points with 106.
“Dion is pretty much the undisputed MVP right now,” said a league analyst. “The bigger question is, which of the two teams, B3 or Young Gunnaz, will have the edge this coming Playoffs?”
The recap is listed below:
“We should have finished them off, don’t know why we let the come back…” said a Young Gunnaz player, post-game.
B3 Sports erased a 37-30 halftime deficit as B3 avenged a Week 3 loss, 72-67. There would be no dramatic buzzer-beater as Terrence Martin led B3 with 21 points and 4 rebounds. Baily, the leading front-runner for MVP this season, finished with 19 points, 10 rebounds, and 4 steals. Baily was scoreless until the 15 minute mark and when he got it going in the second half, he led B3 to a 10-0 rally. Norman C. tied the game at 56 with 8 minutes left and he finished with 17 points, 3 rebounds.
Cisco Acevado was on fire in the 1st half hitting 4 three-pointers to give Young Gunnaz a double digit lead. He was limited to just 2 field goals in the pivotal 2nd half and Acevado finished with 24 points, 5 three-pointers. Andrew Knox added 10 points and 4 assists while MVP of the League Amos Battle finished with 18 points, 10 rebounds.
“I’m telling you B3 is a very, very good team, they might win the Diamond this season,” observed Fan of the Season, Mr. Tamidles.

“UNLIKELY 1st PLACE FINISH”
30’s Rock vs. nWo, The Pack
nWo, The Pack has the chance to finish as the #1 seed in the Playoffs. Will they make the best of their opportunity against 30’s Rock? Should they lose to the Diamond Bar team, both teams will match-up in the 1st Round of the Playoffs.
Lauren Okayama leads 30’s Rock with 59 points, 14.8 ppg and she ranks 2nd in scoring in the Women’s Division. She leads the division with 4.0 apg while her counter-part, Brenda Chavez, ranks 2nd with 2.8 apg. 30’s Rock has been lights out from the 3-ball and this season, they occupy the #1, #2, and #3 position in the leader board with 3 players hitting 9 three-pointers apiece.
30’s Rock has to be worried about Crystal Fausto. She’s only played in two games for The Pack but she is averaging 14.5 ppg, 3 three-pointers. GM Omar Alameddine has the team in position to finish at the top spot and he needs to have a full roster show up in the Playoffs.
“They fell apart last season because of their attendance,” said a league analyst. “They struggled early this season, due to attendance issues, but once he resolves that, The Pack could very well return to the Finals.”
