Cisco Acevado’s 100 Point Game

Posted by Superstar Basketball Analysts On March - 28 - 2009

Superstar Basketball announced on Friday, March 27, that the 100 point game by Cisco Acevado has been ruled invalid.

After a thorough investigation by Superstar Basketball, it was discovered that several players that were NOT in the roster participated in the match-up on Week 6. Relics and Screwed Up Click were vying for a Playoff position and Cisco Acevado had a breakout game scoring 100 points and hitting 26 three-pointers.

The rules of the league are strictly enforced. Players not listed on the roster are classified as “Ringers”. Players playing for another person would be classified as a ringer. The ringers weren’t discovered that day rather two weeks later when the League Commissioner himself was playing pick up ball at a local gym and the conversation of Cisco’s remarkable 100 point game came up. He discovered that players not on the roster played and did consult the Screwed Up Click GM regarding the situation.

Eddie,

I was ballin at LA Fitness and ran into some of your players. I ran into _____________ and he brought up the 100 point game from Cisco Acevado and brought up the fact that some players played and they weren’t officially on the roster. Players not listed on the roster would be classified as “ringers”. Please let me know if this is true, I would have to rule the game as a forfeit and the 100 point game may be rule invalid. Also your team will be fined $80.

Screwed Up Click Eddie Silva has confirmed that there were ringers and he will meet with League Commissioner and Cisco Acevado later on in the weekend. Screwed Up Click has been fined. Furthermore, the 100 point record by Acevado will be removed over the weekend and Derek DeVan’s 77 point game will remain. Acevado did meet with the League Commissioner and is aware of the situation.

“A rule is a rule. I respect that, but everyone knows I scored 100. It’s just unfair, but that’s the rule.”
