Dear Friends and Family,

Thank you for visiting my AIDS Marathon Donation Page. And THANK YOU for those who already showed their support!  As many of you already know, I am training for the 2007 Las Vegas Marathon which will take place on December 2, 2007. That's right - it's an actual marathon - 26.2 miles. And from June until December I'll be logging nearly 500 miles in this six-month training program which is raising money for the fight to end AIDS.

Last week, July 28th, I ran the longest ever, time and distance! My pace group ran 12 miles for 2hrs and 37 mins!  Although we were under our tentative time, we made it!  If we ran for another mile, we would have ran a half marathon! Anyway,as I move forward to this exciting journey, I am happy to know that my share of aches and pains will be worth it.

Did you know that more than one million Americans, and 40 million others around the world, are living with HIV -- the virus that causes AIDS? With more than 20 million deaths so far, AIDS is now the leading cause of death among all people aged 15 to 59 worldwide.

Regrettably, approximately 1 in every 50 San Franciscans is now living with HIV/AIDS. So the money I am raising will help the San Francisco AIDS Foundation provide HIV services and prevention programs in Alameda, Contra Costa, Marin, San Francisco, San Mateo and Santa Clara Counties -- to keep people alive until there's a cure. A portion of the funds will also support treatment access in the developing world.

This is such a worthy cause, and I would like to ask for your support. I have made a personal commitment to raise at least $2,800 before Friday, September 7, 2007 -- and I hope to raise even more. Any contribution you can make would mean a great deal to me. Contributions are tax-deductible and will make a huge difference in the lives of thousands of people living with HIV/AIDS.

Thanks for your generous support.
