POST SEASON AWARDS

Sean Harris wins MVP Award

New Image
finished their first season on top of the Diamond
Division and a lot of the team's success had a lot to do
with the stellar play of Sean Harris. The former
Wildcats guard averaged 23.0 ppg, 3.0 apg, 1.1 spg. He
was 32-of-40 (80.0%) from the line.
The only team to beat New Image was The Goons, a team
managed by GM of the Season Henry Frierson. With
the team's financial obligations out of the way on
opening day, Henry focused on getting his teammates
involved and he averaged 4.0 apg, 9.1 ppg. Known to hit
the three ball, he often passed up his shots just to get
his teammates involved and his ability to improve his
teammates earned them a 6-2 record. Playing defense for
The Goons was Cortez Ward and he grabbed his
first rebounding title with 8.4 rpg. He averaged 21.9
ppg and averaged 2.0 spg.
Young Gunnaz guard Cisco Acevado improved
considerably this season. Cisco Acevado became a
franchise player for Young Gunnaz and he claimed his
first scoring title averaging 27.5 ppg this season. He
finished second in three-pointers with a total of 35 but
the big story was Cisco passing up Ryan Snook,
last season's scoring Champ, on Week 8. Young Gunnaz
finished with a 5-3 record with one of those losses
coming from Hard Work.

Hard Work's surge to the top has a lot to do with
Johnny Green, this season's Rookie of the Season. He
averaged 21.7 ppg, 13 three pointers and led Hard Work
to a franchise best, 6-2 record. He'll be known in his
rookie season for his last second 40 feet heave against
Young Gunnaz, an improbable comeback that saw the team
climb from a 10 point deficit. Hard Work used several
come from behind victories this season and the resilient
of Hard Work had GM Kearney Lindsay as a close runner-up
for GM of the Season.

POST SEASON AWARDS
December
13, 2008
Chris
Chi wins Most Improved Player award
Dedrick Bates won the MVP of the Season award after
leading the division in scoring with 215 points, 26.9
ppg. The former Platinum Division MVP ranked 2nd in
assists with 4.3 apg and led Game Bang to a 6-2 record,
a season after winning the LeBronze Division. Many
expected Game Bang to fall in Gold but the addition of
Bates has turned the former Champs into a legitimate
Gold team. The close runner-up was Jay R. Gomez
of B.O.B. Gomez averaged 16.7 ppg and led his team with
24 three-pointers. B.O.B. finished a franchise-best, 7-1
record.
Chris Chi of Wooball turned into a
legitimate MVP candidate and at one point led the
division in scoring. His improved play allowed Wooball
to finish with a 5-3 record and will be in the Playoffs
for the first time.
Mike Gonzalez has a team built for the Playoffs
and many of his Gold Division peers know that SikWidIt
will be a threat in the Playoffs. He broke the assists
record this season dishing 52 assists and averaging 6.5
apg. The previous mark was set by Cameron Murray
of Diamond Division's Wildcats.
The crowded Gold Division was crowded with a lot of
rookies trying to make a name for themselves. None made
a bigger splash than Buckets GM Walter Tamidles.
He ranked 2nd in three-pointers with 35 and he led his
team to a division best, 7-1 record. The team ranks 1st
in the Gold Division Playoffs.
