It took 3 tries in the Championships, 3 games against the two-time Champions (Deacons) but on April 13, 2008, the West Covina 1 Stunners finally had destiny on their side. It took 5 long seasons but the Stunners finally won what eluded them the most: Championship.

Relics were a heavy favorite to take the Championship but succumbed under pressure in a game that meant the most to the franchise. Full Clip controlled the tempo and pulled the biggest upset Relics has ever seen.

That Same Team

Not even Defensive Player of the Season Jesse Romero could stop That Same Team from winning their first championship. It was the third Championship for Lalo Arroyo as That Same Team wins 69-58.

Lalo Arroyo became the first player to win three championships in three different teams. He first won the Championship with Foundation (Summer 2006), Global Gym (Fall 2006) and now That Same Team (Winter 2008). It took him a year and half later but the wait was worth it for the league's first big man.

Ladies Reign

APRIL 13, 2008

Smokin Aces was in position to finally stop the Reign but clutch performances by the Ladies gave Ladies Reign their second championship in two seasons.

The ladies have yet to lose a game in franchise history and the streak is now at 18 games. Former GM Giselle Jimenez led the team defensively on the boards and was named Finals MVP. The score was tied 45-45 and two clutch free throws by Jimenez gave Ladies Reign the lead, 47-45.
