Commish GM MEETING 1.5.09
I want to thank the General Managers who made an
effort to come out to yesterday's GM Meeting. We
had a pizza party and made fun of Reggie and
Omar, his BFF, and Reggie ate the whole pizza so
it was just a party without the pizza and we had
such a blast... Oh you HAD to be there! =Þ
Seriously though, we discussed a lot of the
rules that were going into effect this season. A
lot of the forfeit procedures were discussed and
I will have a print out of the RULES on every
stat table when the season starts.
Anytime someone complains about the rules... all
you're going to hear from me is January 4,
2009. Throughout the season, I hear a
lot of gibberish (yes gibberish) ... and it gets
annoying after awhile especially when it comes
from players who have nothing better to do than
whine.
We did our part by providing you a forum were
you can voice out your stance on the rules and
changes for this season. Rules were discussed,
Playoff formats were changed and the rules are
being re-written.

Commish HAPPY NEW YEAR 1.2.09
Happy New Year everybody. I hope everyone
enjoyed the holidays... I know I did...at home.
New year, new season, new
wallpapers, new Superstar TV. We're
starting early this year because we're hosting 2
tournaments on March and September. For teams
that are not participating, they'll have more
time off between the seasons.
WALLPAPERS
+
Looks sick huh? I've been known to stroll
around the other teams website on MySpace. I'll
see comments here and there (Relics in
particular), I'll see new pictures (Brotherhood
takes weekly pictures), and new videos
(Elements have the most random videos) and one
day... I came across the B-Junkies wallpapers.
Mikey Buenaventura is the talented
designer who designed the wallpaper so if you
have a chance, let him know he did good. He just
got his 24 pass so look for him at 24.

Commish HOLIDAY POUNDS 12.29.08
Happy Holidays... and I hope everyone is
enjoying their time off.
Gained 15 lbs since Thanksgiving so if I'm not
working on Superstar, I'm at the gym.
PRE-SEASON SCHEDULE
+
4 teams have made payment and they're
already scheduled in the calendar.
+ This season, we're scheduling games
for the first 5 weeks. Once you're scheduled,
you're allowed 1 week to change your schedule.
Please make all requests in our
FORUMS.
The banner on the top is hideous. That
should be updated by next week.
Championship teams from Fall 2008 will be
honored with their
Championship pictures at the top.
After 3 seasons with a black layout with
Season 10 being the most difficult, I
decided to go back to basics. White, tan,
gray... if you have any ideas of what you
want for this season, shoot me an e-mail:
commish@superstarbasketball.org
PRE-SEASON SCHEDULE As soon as you make a payment, Omar or I
should be sending you an e-mail to fill out on
what times you want your game time. It's first
come, first serve so the sooner you pay, the
sooner you get your game times.

Commish GONE FISHIN' 12.16.08
It's CHAMPIONSHIP WEEK..
...and around this time of the season,
there's a lot of teams fishin'
A lot of teams are getting ready for next season and a lot of
players have already made moves for SEASON 11.
Here's a brief rundown of
what we're doing in our end. CHECK OUT WHAT
WE'RE DOING TO FIIX THE MESSY SEASON THAT
WAS SEASON 10.
PRE-SEASON SCHEDULE
+ For the first time ever, we're
scheduling your games 1 week before the
season starts. This saves our time and this
will give you a schedule your team can work
around. Not only will this limit forfeits
but it will give us more time to write your
previews. The advance scheduling will
produce more scouting from other teams, more
fans will fill up the stands and the game
will be more competitive than ever.
PUBLIC RELATIONS
+Omar Alameddine is our P.R. He'll be collecting fees
from teams because I fired myself from that job.
He got a head start by collecting past
league fees on Week 8 and Playoffs. He'll
also work with me on finding new gyms and
pre-season schedule.
NUMBERS ON THE FRONT
+ Teams must now have numbers in the front of their jerseys. It
helps us take stats more accurately. If you've never taken stats
before, check out this scenario.
+ Player grabs rebound, throws outlet pass for an assist to
player who makes the layup. In two seconds, the guy who inbounds the ball
throws it down to his teammate who scores and gets fouled.
+ First you get the player who fouled, you write down
his number, then you credit the 2 points. If the guy who grabbed the rebound
... to make a long story short, if the players don't have numbers in the front,
it's difficult to get their stats and you have to wait for them to turn around.
LEAGUE FEES DUE UP FRONT
+ The days of paying only $140 for 3
games are no longer there. Why? Well... take
a look at the new 80's list and you'll see
how many teams didn't pay fully. We do a lot
of work on our end, we have gym fees,
insurance, officials, and writers we have to
pay for.
15 MAN ROSTER FOR ALL DIVISIONS
+ Need to lower your team cost? Add a
player or two to lower everyone's league
fees. Why pay $110 each with 6 players when
you can pay $55 with a 12 man roster.
