INTEGRITY
3.11.09

F'IN CHEATERS
There's nothing more I hate than cheaters. Seriously. I really do hate cheaters. The good outweigh the bad here at Superstar and a lot of players play with a lot of integrity and follow the rules. However, there are a couple of cheaters out there.

I'm sure people cheat because they feel incompetent and they're not man enough to tough it out. Even when my teams
only had 4 players, I never opted to cheat but some people are different and they think they can get away with it.

Well, Anthony Coward err Howard of Bomb Squad this means you. I hate the fact that you call me and ask me if I can let you play with a player that's not on the roster. I also hate the fact that I ask your player for ID, he says it's in the car and he'll bring it back after the game and he never comes back. I tell you I don't recognize your player and you tell me I played against him when I know damn well who I play against. Your player sounds like he's been sucking on helium and I would have probably made fun of his high voice if I did play against him back on Week 2 like you said. I made fun of him last week for sounding like a chipmunk and I'm sure I probably would have interviewed him on Superstar Radio just so the whole world would know how much of a b*tch he sounds like. Welcome to the 80's list cheaters, I have no tolerance for you.

LAGGING W/ GAME LOGS
Yah I'm lagging with game logs... but at least I don't cheat. My teammates never cheat, and you shouldn't cheat either.

"Bear never cheats."
- Alex Ivezaj, Superstar Radio

SUPERSTAR TV
Just a reminder there's no Superstar TV this week because Anthony Howard cheated last week. No seriously though, there's 8 episodes this season so I'm saving the 8th final episode for the Playoffs. You know what's funny... Anthony Howard, the cheater, plays for the SD Commish's team. Ryan wasn't there this weekend and sure enough, when the cat is away, the mice come out and play. Peace.

LITERALLY 3G's
3.10.09

3G's Sports
...have officially been dropped from the league due to failure to pay the remaining balance of the league fees. We pay for gym time, league officials, etc. We go the extra mile and provide you with a quality website complete with stats, write-ups, pictures, and features not found in surrounding leagues.

Teams have an obligation to make full payment by Week 3. When teams bail out it puts the whole league in a bind. This is a pay to play league!

ACTING UP
2 Players are suspended for 1 game for accumulating double technical fouls. Another player was suspended for charging his teammate at Upland Gym. If you need some anger management, you might want to visit:

http://www.angermgmt.com/
http://www.mayoclinic.com/health/anger-management/MH00073

If you need to see how ridiculous one looks during their time of outburst, you might want to view this:
http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0305224/

Using the refs as an excuse is pretty lame. After the run-in with the association referees last season, I'm 95 percent behind our league officials.
Why 95? Well, like NBA refs, I'm pretty sure these human beings tend to hold grudges from time to time. I have a gut feeling that if I yell at one of them on a non-call and b*tch about it the whole game, they'll get me back with a traveling call. With that said...

BEING A VETERAN

I'm not the greatest baller in the world but when it comes to using experience and basketball IQ, I'm up there... you know what I'm sayin'.

If a lot of calls are going your way in the 1st half... you could pretty much make the assumption that a lot of those calls are going the opponent's way in the 2nd half. If the refs are going to let you play instead of calling ticky-tack fouls, then I would probably get physical on defense. I'd stress hitting perimeter shots because you know you're gonna get hacked when you drive in. If the refs call ticky-tack fouls all game, then I would probably drive it in so my players get to the line.

To make a long story short... we can't shoot for 100 points like Cisco, we can't dunk like Amos, we can't be as fast as Mr. Swag... but if we're smart like Old School (San Diego Division) and use our basketball knowledge to our advantage, we would probably win games no one would expect us to win.

GAME LOGS WILL BE UP TONIGHT
Seasons past, I'd delay our features because of suspensions. There's a lot of work but I'll have everything up by tonight.

PEACE

CENTURY MARK
3.5.09

I HAVEN'T BEEN POSTING BECAUSE
...I've been trying to score 100 points w/ Kobe Bryant in 2K9 and still can't do it. Once again, congratulations to Cisco Acevado for that remarkable feat. Thanks for taking away from my shine because 10 minutes before that, people were talking about my 10 three-pointers, a career-high. 10 minutes later, you scored as many points as I did in a game. =(

DAYLIGHT SAVINGS
Move your clocks 1 hour ahead. Don't forget, it's Daylight Savings Time!

SUPERSTAR TV EPISODE 15
This week
features the 100 point game by Cisco Acevado. It also features the league's first MVP, Lalo Arroyo and Bank GM Aries Inguito. Lastly, there's been a lot of hype for Watchmen lately and there's also been a lot of hype on one of the league's most decorated player, Kenneth Ubom. The Watchmen movie trailer should give the Street Fighter Gold Division promo a run...

SCHEDULE CHANGES
I'll make one more tonight at 8 p.m. and a couple more before 5 p.m. on Friday.

UPLAND GYM
I got a courtesy call from Upland Gym saying they double-booked at 4 p.m. That means we are starting at 5 p.m. on Sunday. All games have been pushed an hour back. *cough*  NJB *cough*

AWARDS
At our round table, we bring up awards every week. There are 5 GMs that are in the Top 5, and 3 Superstar Basketball fans that are on top of the list. As far as MVP and Most Inspirational, I have no idea who is in the running and you have two weeks to make an impact. It's getting serious, son.

YOUTUBE
Some limitations from Youtube had me cutting the Harry Yoo vs D1 Segment but that should be uploaded in another video tomorrow.

PEACE.
