SAN DIEGO
DIVISION
San Diego Division started with 6
teams last summer. The 3 court gym is nice and
more teams are expected to join in the following
weeks.
|
|
WOMEN'S
DIVISION
The Women's Division started in
the Fall 2007 season and featured 6 teams last
season. Ladies Reign were the two time Champions
until a team from La Sierra University (Lady
Skull-basherz) ended their reign. In the past,
women have proven they can compete in the
Women's Division and in the Men's Division.

|
LeBronze DIVISION
Our newest division is
the league's lowest division, LeBronze.
Teams that do not make the Playoffs in
Gold are the only teams allowed to
register. New teams cannot join this
division. Players that are playing in
all other division cannot play in this
division (with the exception of 2
General Managers).
|
|
GOLD DIVISION
The most popular division
in the league and is referred to as the
Recreation Division. The teams are guard
heavy and its fast paced. The Playoffs
give it a NCAA tournament feel since the
division has the most teams. Last
season, 28 teams participated in Gold.
You may face established teams which
aren't good enough for Platinum yet, at
the same time you might face teams that
are just starting out.

|
PLATINUM
DIVISION
Competitive Division. Not an
elite player? Too good for the recreational
basketball? Then the Platinum Division is your
division. Gold Division teams may have some
recreational players but in Platinum Division,
the talent level is different. The teams are
more organized and more structured.
|
|
DIAMOND
DIVISION
The elite. From the
sharp-shooters, the high-flyers, the MVPs of the
lower divisions, the true All Stars, this is
where the best competition is at. Last season's
All Star highlights was nothing but a dunkfest
between the Platinum Division and the Diamond
Division teams on All Star Weekend. You're not
going to break any records in Diamond because
the other players won't let you. This is where
the best competition is at .
The more experienced teams play at the highest
level so expect to see some former college
players, semi-pros, and the record breakers
playing here. 4 players with NBA experience
participated in Diamond last season and the
division had 12 teams. |

Previews and Recaps
Vanilla is great and all but why
settle for a flavor that's bland and boring. The
subplots in the game are intriguing and for some
players, it's brought out their best games.
Remember that game when you had 9 three-pointers
and everyone read about it because it was
archived on a website.
How about the time when
you had to pick between playing with your
Championship team and playing with your new team.
Your money will get you a ball game in other
leagues but when you accomplish a memorable
feat, that memory will live in our archives.
"First game for the League and
Luke Montilla
rips 7 steals..."
Some GMs will say
that the staff favors certain teams. Most of the
time its rookies trying to get their shine on
and its all part of the rookie hazing
experience. We've had teams and players that
been here since Day One and EVERYONE will get
their shine on from time to time. |

Eight Games
8 Games on Sunday
(7 for the Women's Division). That's eight games
that lasts 2-3 months, a time period long enough
for you to improve and develop yours skills on
the basketball court. There's enough time
between seasons for players to recuperate from
the long, grueling season. |

Rivalry Weekend
Remember that
fool who played in your team and he went out and
started his own team. How about your friend from
high school that keeps talking and talking and
talking saying how his team is better than
yours. The staff will do its best to promote
competitive games and the climax is usually on
Week 7, the week known as Rivalry Weekend.
The more teams that get added to
the league the juicier the rivalry gets. A lot
of teams were eliminated before the Playoffs and
the losing teams usually want to avenge their
defeat. Guess when payback is... |

Growth
The League started out with 6 teams just a
little
over two years ago
on August 6, 2006. It doubled the following
season with 12 teams and in its 3rd season, it
had a total of 26 teams. Between the 3rd and 4th
season, the competition was higher than expected
and we had 4 teams pave way for 10 new teams. 32
teams in 4 seasons is one thing...but it's
quality over quantity and that's why teams come
back for more.
The league expanded to San Diego and more teams
are expected to join from Daygo. The talent and
the competition is big in Superstar Basketball
but with the league implementing LeBronze (a
lower division) expect more teams to join. |

Virtual Awards
The record books and Champions pages were
remodeled last spring. The All Star Gallery and
End of the Season awards will be remodeled in
the next few weeks. What other league recognizes
you for what you do on the court? Why spend your
time playing in a league where you're nothing
but a jersey number?

Playoffs
This is the
epitome of it all. The Championship Game. The
road to the 'chip is tough specially in
Superstar Basketball. The Playoffs is a two day
event with the first two games being the
toughest. The 1st Round and the Semis take place
a week after the season ends and is followed by
the Championship Game a week later. |
|
3.
Zero Tolerance for Fighting
Physical play is
part of the game. A hard foul is simply that a
hard foul but at the end of the game, we're all
friends and one big family. The governing body
does its best to maintain the integrity of the
League and our code of conduct is strict.
ZERO TOLERANCE FOR FIGHTING is simply that. |

2.
Hype
From the music blaring from the speakers to the
hype surrounding your game, there's no question
that when you are playing in a big game, you
might get somewhat nervous. From the articles,
the standings, even on the message boards,
sooner or later the spotlight will be on you and
it's up to you to prove that you want it. You
might even be
Player of the Week. |
