Ladies Reign
The season
ended in perfect fashion and with
Playoffs just around the corner, well
expect the Ladies to win their second
straight title. The only uncertainty the
ladies have is who the real MVP is.
Kendra Carraway or Amanda Aoun.
Last game
of the season didn't really matter. Can
they surprise the Aces in the Semis this
weekend? Will the Shock Value be there
much like how The Loop surprised Deuces
Wild on Week 8?
If Young
Gunnaz didn't lose to Posse, Young
Gunnaz and Relics would have had a
perfect season. Imagine this, if Y.G.
and Relics win the chip, they'll combine
for a 15-1 record.
They really
aren't rookies and Bassett players
thrive on other teams underestimating
them. After a 2-3 record, the team has
won 3 straight. Look for the
Camarenas to be the front-runner in
the Defensive Player of the Season
award.
Their Young
Gunnaz win was considered an upset and
thanks to Posse, there would be no
perfect season for Young Gunnaz-Relics.
A match-up against Deacons in the 1st
Round will give rookie Von Tabb a
glimpse of what Championship ball is.
Deacons
defeated Playmakers on Week 6 thus
giving them the tie-breaker against all
4-4 teams. A lot has been made about
Mark Moton's MVP season. Will
Jovan Jester finally get his MVP
award?
WINS: Deacons,
Parking Lot Pimps, Association,
Foundation The
remaining two 4-4 teams never went
head-to-head and both Run N Gun and So
Cal Ballers both defeated Deacons. We go
to the next best thing, So Cal Ballers
beating Parking Lot Pimps
WINS: Deacons, Association,
Black Out,
Foundation
They meet the Stunners again in the 1st
Round of the Playoffs. If Week 8 was any
indication, they'll have to re-group and
think of a game plan to counter a
motivated Stunners squad. They have
several rookies up for Rookie of the
Season: Leon Fiaherty, Dedrick Bates.
Pimps
defeated The Association on Week 3,
46-39, knocking them out of the
Playoffs. With 5 straight losses to end
the season and still making the
Playoffs, will the Pimps re-group just
in time for the Playoffs? When the Pimps
faced Young Gunnaz on Week 6, they lost
58-49.
They beat
some notable teams but head-to-head,
they couldn't match up against The
Pimps. Kenneth Ubom garnered MVP
nominations but the record many not be
enough.
Undefeated
Season - which is something they don't
really care about. They've been here for
a year and all they care about is the
Championship. Think about this one
though... no affiliate teams have ever
combined for a perfect season.
Three 5-3
teams are tied but Still Fly's win over
Full Clip cements their
status as the #3 team. They're even
across the board with Dead End beating
Still Fly and Dead End losing to Money
Inc. What's the tie-breaker:
Still
Fly's win over Full Clip. Their rookie
Jeremy Namkung is flying under the
radar and Still Fly is the dark horse of
the Playoffs.
Money Inc
defeated Dead End, 73-70 on Week 3.
These two teams will match up on the 1st
Round of the Playoffs. On a side note,
league insiders are leaking that Bear
is up for Defensive Player of the Season
while teammate Kenneth Ubom is up
for MVP
Rookie
John Chen would be up for Rookie of
the Season but he hasn't played in
enough games. They need their full squad
to contend against Money Inc in the 1st
Round but in the Playoffs, anything can
happen.
Welcome
back to the big dance. It's been so long
since Game Breakers played in the
post-season but think of it this way.
Their Gold Division affiliate teams
Underdawgs and Abstract faced off in the
Championships. Will Tommy's team once
again defeat Jon Paras' team?
WINS: Still Fly, Game Breakers, Remix
TROY and USUCK keep arguing how much
Kabibbles suck and don't deserve to be
in the Playoffs. Their win over Still
Fly gives them the tie-breaker, like it
or not.
WINS: Kabibbles, USUCK, Elements
Class Clowns and USUCK have the tie
breaker since
both teams defeated #7 Kabibbles.
Class Clowns defeated USUCK. Out of
nowhere, Class Clowns is in the
Playoffs.
WINS: Kabibbles, TROY, Elements Not
only did they miss out on Playoffs but
Derek DeVan has been suspended - all
because he said the "F" word real loud.
"Flying Fish from Finland." The Commish:
"I gotta tell him to wash his mouth in
the off-season."
WINS: Remix, Class Clowns, Elements Tie
breaker not needed. Head-to-head TROY
defeated Remix. They're still upset
about Kabibbles and if both team
register for next season, TROY vs.
Kabibbles should be a Rivalry match.
WINS: USUCK, Class Clowns, Elements They
were one win from being in the Playoffs.
ONE. What's upsetting is that hey
almost lost against Elements. On the
bright side, Uzoma Kalu for
Rookie of the Season?
Decepticons
avoided a win-less season while Elements
struggled with a 0-8 record. GMs need to
re-think the decisions they made at the
last GM Meeting...and well, maybe
Elements with Gopez is a Gold
Division team.
They
defeated Heavy Hittaz, That Same Team
and Money Shot thus giving them the top
spot in Gold. A lot of arguing went on
in the league meeting about who the true
MVP of the team really is. 'Francise'
De La Victoria or Rob 'Owns Da
Paint" Da Silva?
It's a
3-way tie between Heavy Hittaz, That
Same Team and Money Shot so who gets the
2, 3, and 4 slot? Here's the breakdown.
Money Shot and Heavy Hittaz both
defeated 626'ers. Money Shot
defeated HH, 68-66, in Week 4. Money
Shot gets the 2 spot and Adrian
Eddington got some votes for MVP of
the season.
Their win
over That Same Team on Week 8 gives them
the 3 slot in the Playoffs. Lin Ma
left Fabulous and made a lot of moves in
the off-season, will he win GM of the
Season award?
