The Playoffs
The postseason. This is where everything is
on the line, every point matters, every
second seems like a lifetime. This is where
you make your name, where your reputation is
born.
The
stage is set. 32 teams, 4 Champions. The
regular season is out the window and upsets
are known to happen every season. Teams have
excelled in the regular season only to fall
while others have taken their franchise to
glory. Rivalries are born, respect is earned
and in the end there can only be one
Champion.
Your
stats won't matter, your opponents know who
you are. Take it to the limit and the
competition gets tougher after each round.
Win the Championship and make history, lose
and you become history.

COMMISH
You know what
happens when there's suspensions....
We hold things up for a day.
Game Logs are done,
overall stats are done, but you know the deal.
One person gets suspended, we hold things up for
a day.
Also, Black Out
players have been placed on the '80 List'. Black
Out will not be allowed to register a team in
the future.
Players playing on
other teams cannot participate until a
re-instatement fee of $80 is paid off.
Thank You.

COMMISH
Last week of the
season and you know it gets heated. Players
never fight with each other and most of the
time, they're fighting with the refs.
I can relate to
some of the bad calls because I played in a game
where all the bad calls go against us.
Seriously, how in the world am I gonna foul
Andrew Knox on a jump shot when he's about two
feet taller than me? At the same time, I KNOW I
have to keep my mouth shut....plain and simple.
Rules are rules...and players need to understand
that sometimes, they need to keep their mouth
shut and just play through it.
Well, the players
page has been updated. USUCK Derek DeVan,
suspended 1 game, a week after Giyoh Shey was
suspended 1 game for Full Clip.
Players have asked
why we get t'd up for saying curse words. Well,
there's kids in the stands and Sundays are a
family event to most of the teams. There's a lot
of talking that goes on during the games and
some refs will let it go while others won't.
Know the refs like
you know your opponents. (Rocky Anciano)
Knowledge is power. (Sir Isaac Newton)
The Power is Yours. (Captain Planet)

COMMISH
Working on the new
site...
Registration for next season starts on March 21.
It will be up by 6 a.m. in the morning.
Fastest registration to date was AJ Francisco of
Game Bang. Rookie registered in under 6
minutes!!
Sortable Stats.
Will be updated as of Saturday morning. There is
a hold up in the system. What's the holdup you
ask...
Rule IIa.
Roster Management A team
can only utilize a maximum of 12 roster spots.
YOU CANNOT EXCHANGE A PLAYER FOR ANOTHER
PLAYER.The system is designed so that a team
can only have 12 slots. You cannot replace a
player that has already played a game OTHERWISE
their stats will carry over.
Elements moved
up some players from Decepticons after the
Ringer situation because half the team doesn't
want to show up and they were trying to avoid a
forfeit fee. Well they exceeded the 12 roster
slots so, to make it easy for myself, their
stats from the past 2 games will not carry over.
This is 1 team,
1 team out of 54 teams. One team will make that
much of a difference and this is just the roster
management portion. We are well after the
deadline and teams are still trying to add
players. Let's read the rules,
ladies and gentlemen, let's read the rules.

As a reminder...
Registration for next season starts on March 21.
8th Season starts on April 20.
It will be Superstar Basketball's 8th and FINAL
SEASON.
Yes, you read that right.
Superstar
Basketball's 8th and FINAL SEASON.
The
good news. Those that personally know me
know that the last time I worked an 8-5 was
November last year. I've been looking for
another job since then and I'm blessed to have
finally found one. I guess I did well specially
after showing our website.
The
bad news. Well, training starts in 3 weeks
and by May 1, I should be working at
headquarters - in San Diego. This is a big move
for me but the job opportunity is something I
can't pass on.
The
ugly. For the past few weeks, I've delegated
tasks and for some reason the job isn't getting
done. When I went on a business trip weeks ago,
I trusted people to take care of the previews
but we all know how that turned out. Last
weekend, same thing and you saw what happened.
What's the point of posting game previews after
the game started. Duh! I appointed someone to
work on the website and look what happens, the
score gets switched around (Relics - Money Inc,
Team Kellz - High Five). Game logs... same
thing, should have been done on Monday afternoon
but (no name mentioned) didn't get it done so I
should have the game logs up by Tuesday night.
Sorry
folks but it seems like every time I ask someone
else to get the job done, it gets done halfway.
Word actually leaked around on Saturday that I
got a new job and friends have asked for me to
appoint a new Commish to keep the league
running. I've been assigning simple tasks
these past few weeks the job isn't getting done
the right way.
I really want to retire Superstar Basketball on
top of the game. From the website, stats,
Superstar Radio, Superstar TV...I just want to
leave the game on top. Those that know me know
I'm on the comp all morning and all night. My
new job will probably consume over 40 hours of
my time so there really isn't a point for me to
commute back and forth from Daygo. Financially,
we all know how hard it is to collect fees from
teams so why bother with that?
There's
still 1 more season left so there's really no
point in dishing out the ugly side. The Last
Season... starts on April 20 and registration
begins on March 21. I'd like to thank everyone
who contributed to Superstar Basketball, and
every player for making Superstar Basketball
part of their Sunday. It was a hard for me to
let go of something I created but these
opportunities don't come along very often.
