END OF
THE SEASON AWARDS - PLATINUM DIVISION
APRIL

Relics'
Andrew Knox wins a PS MVP
award.

Relics All Star Andrew Knox led the team to an undefeated 8-0 record and was rewarded with the division's highest honor - MVP.
Andrew led the division in steals with a total of 30 steals (3.8 spg). He averaged 18.9 ppg, 2.6 apg, 7.0 apg and tallied 5 blocks and 6 three pointers. Many will say the MVP went to the best player on an undefeated team - a team full of talent and is favored in the division to win it all.
Alex "Bear" Ivezaj
grabbed the rebounding title in his last
game and he finished with 94 rebounds
averaging 13.4 rpg. Bear also led the
division with a total of 17 blocks averaging
2.4 bpg and he finished with 10 steals (1.4
spg).
The Rookie of the Season
award went to Remix high-flyer Uzoma Kalu.
The lanky forward dazzled the crowd with his
high-flying dunks and the rookie averaged
14.8 ppg, 8.9 rpg. There were several
marquee names that were left out of the
ballot due to players not playing enough
games (6 required).
Relics GM Ernest Pablo led Relics to
an undefeated season and received the award
automatically after accomplishing the feat.
"I didn't want to give him the award because
I feel he didn't deserve it but it was an
automatic award so let him enjoy it," joked
League Commissioner Hanz Jimenez. "On a
serious note, he's built an unstoppable team
and I know the award doesn't matter to him
because it's all about Championship for Mr.
Pablo."
Chris Capinia
averaged 8.0 ppg, 2.5 apg for DSK back in
Summer 2007. After recovering from injury
and finding a new team, the defensive guard
averaged 11.6 ppg, 2.5 apg, and 2.8 spg for
Class Clowns. The biggest turnaround yet the
most overlooked was TROY GM Ken
Ngarayawongse who averaged 4.0 ppg, 6.6
rpg last season. This season, he finished
with an average of 16.4 ppg, 5.1 rpg, and
1.7 spg.
"We were reluctant on
giving Ken the award because he's a staff
member but after posting 47 points in one
game against Game Breakers and improving his
average by more than 12 points, we felt Ken
really deserved it," said a league official.
"We often overlook him and if you checked
the website 10 minutes before it was
announced he won the award, you'll know how
often Ken gets overlooked."
