  2 YEAR BANQUET

We will have our 2 Year banquet within the next 2 weeks. We are still gathering
information on which venue would be suitable. Last season, there were only 20
people that showed up and we're making sure attendance is high this time
around.  More information will be provided within the next 2 weeks.

Weeks later after the Lakers lost, I'm still hurtin' for certain.

Season 9 was supposed to be named, "Killer Instinct."
It was supposed to pay tribute to our Lakers, to our MVP.
Assassins don't sit out the second half is all I'm sayin'.
I'm actually glad they lost. That's going to start a new dynasty, a new 3-peat.
Carry the hurt on for the next few years and I'd like to see what Celts do next yr.
I just hope Kobe stays off the airwaves. =)

  SUPERSTAR RADIO

I know he doesn't get much recognition but Superstar Radio was one of
the best ones last season. With the return of Brian Gipson and the addition of
several personalities, I really like how it all turned out. It was one giant mixtape
and every week it featured a different style. Good job, Mark-fa-der from the
  Antidotes.

  NAME CHANGE

The Antidotes dropped their new EP entitled
"West Coast Gold Rush" so we
named the new season after their new album. It's available for
download for free. We caught up with the Antidotes and asked them what
  West Coast Gold Rush meant.

  "Well the name
"West Coast Gold Rush" is basically a play on the fact that there is
a buzz in the music industry right now saying that there is a lot of quality hip hop
coming out of the West Coast (L.A. to be specific). Cats like U-N-I, Pacific Division
Blu are getting noticed and we feel like we are part of that similar movement
coming out of Los Angeles. Just like everyone flocked to the West during the
times of the Gold Rush, we are seeing a lot of people turning to the West Coast
to listen to some good hip hop. We are some of that gold they can find."
                                                                                        - Jowell from Antidotes

Killer Instinct or Gold Rush? Well... With the Olympics coming up in August, I felt
it was best that we pay tribute to our athletes who are representing our country.

They have dedicated their whole lives in competing in their sport just to capture
the Gold and the road isn't easy.  Rulon Gardner scored the biggest upset in
2000 Olympics and after losing several limbs in an accident, he still won Bronze
in 2004. Our 1992 Dream Team used to guaranteed Gold but have struggled as
of late but the focus and re-dedication of our team SHOULD bring us the Gold
this summer. While our heroes are competing in Beijing, our players are
competing for their moment of glory, for their moment of shine. It may not be the
Olympics but the sacrifice, the dedication, and the drive our athletes need to
have in order to win the biggest prize still has to be there.
