END OF
THE SEASON AWARDS - DIAMOND DIVISION Coach Don and Jason Sanchies took home the GM of the Season award after leading Semi Pro Inc to a perfect record this season. The defending Champions were 8-0 in their second season and made headlines week after week. Not only did the team add former USC standout Jeff Trepagnier but the Champs also added hip hop recording artist, "The Game" in the lineup. The star-studded line-up meant capacity crowds and Semi Pro Inc arguably became the team to beat this season. Coach Don was very involved with his team as the team donned new Semi Pro Inc t-shirts while occasionally showing up to other opponent's games. Coach Don was also involved in producing scouting reports for other teams especially against Wildcats, a team he looks forward to facing in the Playoffs this season. "The team is well
coached and they also engage in friendly competition
with some of the other teams," said a league analyst.
"Whether they're producing scouting reports against you
or they're informing you of the other team's weaknesses,
it just shows how involved Semi Pro Inc is with the
league." Defensive Player of the Season award was awarded to Wildcats Tracy Murray who led the league with 16 blocks. The former Wizards player averaged 2.7 bpg, 1.5 spg and 9.0 rpg for Wildcats this season. Andrew Knox was tied for 2nd in blocked shots with a total of 11 and he finished with 6 steals while averaging 4.6 bpg. Last season's Rookie of the Season, Cortez Ward, was also tied for 2nd in blocked shots with a total of 11. The Skull-basherz GM averaged 8.7 rpg, 1.1 spg. The Rookie of the
Season award went to Ryan Snook who led the
league in scoring in his first season averaging 25.0 ppg
and recording 200 points for Team 24. He was tied for
2nd in three-pointers with a total of 33 three's. After
starting the season with a 0-3 record, Street Fam
Hustlas made a huge turnaround after adding Cartier
Carter to the line-up. Cartier led the team in
scoring with 18.2 ppg and he averaged 1.5 spg, 1.7 apg.
Rashad Austin was also nominated for the award
and he ranked 3rd in ppg averaging 26.3 ppg in his
rookie season with Hard Work.
