This week's theme is music...

-- Markfader from the Antidotes

We caught up with Superstar Radio producer, Mark-fader-from-the-Anti-dotes, and asked him random questions about his band The Antidotes to his biggest music influences.

Superstar Radio was born on Summer 2007. Mark Jimenez came up with the idea of interviewing players and mixing the interviews with hip hop beats and tracks. “I just want to give the players something to listen to while surfing the website. Something that gets them motivated while working out, something that gets them hyped to play every Sundays…”

1. Which is your favorite interview thus far?
The current drama. The Young Gunnaz and The Restless.. Also when Batman was on the Podcast, Season 9.

 SCHEDULE
 11.08.08
I'm working on the Gold Stats...
I get 3 teams wanting to change the FINAL SCHEDULE.
  UH, WTH?
Some teams can't take no for an answer.
Money Inc got switched. The Flock got switched.
LA United didn't get switch. JimenezWockeez would have a forfeit.
No one wants to play Semi Pro at 9 p.m. Any volunteers?
Phone number will change soon. Get used to communicating w/ me via e-mail.
Please give me suggestions on how to fix the schedule. Anything.
Would a schedule from the beginning of the season help everybody out?
We should have a poll on this. I'll have it up tonight.
  PEACE.

 BEEN AWAY
 11.07.08
So you probably noticed that the recaps and some of the features are lagging
  this week.

Real talk, I just had to chill.
I walk around the gym, taking pictures, and I get people requesting for
  schedule changes, ON SUNDAY.
I have other people saying they want to play another team, ON THE SPOT.
I have other people... complaining about the RULES! RULES that were finalized
when the season started a few weeks back.

If you had a problem with the rules, where were you during the GM Meeting?
We run this like a democracy. If you want CHANGE, we're like OBAMA.
We'll give you change. You just gotta let us know ahead of time... not
  ON THE SPOT.

Honestly, it gets tiring after awhile. I can only do so much and scheduling
is probably the biggest headache as far as the league goes.

Writing... I love doing. Web design, yah I do that too. Hearing complaints about
  irrelevant b.s... that isn't me.

If you want schedule changes, let me know on Monday/ Tuesday what you want.
We already had someone quit on us as far as scheduling goes.
It's not easy, especially with players running in multiple divisions.

Oh and those NEW refs... =X
  I'm over it. Dunzo (cough)

  Peace.

 SPRING FORWARD, FALL BACK
 10.30.08
There's going to be a lot of teams showing up early tomorrow.
Don't forget to put your clock back and that means, an extra hour of sleep. =)

  SUPERSTAR TV

It's going down from 2 p.m. - 5 p.m. tomorrow

  NEW CAMCORDER

Besides the new Canon camera, we got a new digital camcorder too!
Reason why Superstar TV lags so much is because the camcorder we were
using was an old one, using tape and all. Transferring video was time
consuming. This time around, it should be faster with a better format.

  RECAP DELAYS

Some of you were wondering why the recaps for Gold were late. I hate a writer
say they were going to write but bailed out last minute. Needless to say, I wrote
all night Friday night and I swear I was home... not trick or treating. *cough*
I got to see some of the neighbors from around the way and I must say... jk.

  STANDINGS - WEEK 2

With all the fiasco in Week 2, I didn't think a write up for Week 2 was deserved.
Skipped a week of writing just cuz... that's how crazy Week 2 was.

IT ONLY TAKES 1 TO MESS IT ALL UP

Week 2 was hell. Not only did we have 2 balls taken, not only were the
NEW refs on crazy pills, not only did a stat-keeper bail out on us... but we had
a stats-keeper forget the game logs. Different game logs were used for
Hard Work vs New Image. It only takes one mess up to cause a domino effect.
Not only was the game log for Hard Work for New Image was delayed but their
team stats were the last ones to get posted and the sortable stats can't be
processed until those are done. That's how critical the league is. It only takes
two teams, 1 game, 1 catastrophic event to mess things up.

  WEST COAST GOLD RUSH

Summer was great. The Olympics theme was great. I'm having a lot of request
for the Olympics theme to come back.

"Yo Commish, it was sweet getting those medals. Can we get another ceremony?"
"Dawg, I'm saying... every summer should be Olympics theme."
"Hey, think about it, 4 seasons, Olympics happen every 4 years. Hmm..."

E-mail me and let me know what you think. In case you're wondering what next
  season's theme is... "1 Ball, 1 Team. Season 11."

 STATS
 10.30.08
Most of the team stats are up. Diamond, Platinum, LeBronze, Women's.
Gold Division team stats should be up later today.
Sortable stats are usually up by Saturday around Week 3 but they'll be up today.

Last weekend went real smooth. Everything was back to normal so thanks.....

  ASSISTS

It's rare I do stats nowadays but doing the Left Coast vs. Goons game was
real easy for me. When there's numbers on the front of the jersey, it's easy to
  keep track of stats.

Next season, we will make it mandatory that all jerseys have numbers in the
front. It's better stats-keeping for everyone and the whole league will benefit
  from it.

The league will take betters track of assists, a problem that I am aware of.
I know it's an assists when a player passes the ball to a shooter and the shooter
makes it. When everything goes so fast especially in a Diamond Division game,
it's hard to track who passed the ball before the shooter made it. When there's
numbers in the front, it's easy to track it.

One thing people are confused about is fast break assists.  When a player
takes more than 3 steps, usually the stats-keepers don't credit the passer with
an assist. If it's less than 2 steps, usually an assist is credited.

  NEW CAMERA

Yes. I lagged this week when it came to writing and game logs.
My bad.  I've been playing with the new camera. We're getting better quality
photos and the point and shoot Canon has ran its course. Better pictures means
  new gallery so stay tuned.

  LAKE SHOW

After 2 games, my team is looking pretty good. If you're a bandwagon fan,
there's plenty of room to jump on. If you got tickets, hollah at yo boy.

  Thanks.
