- Week 5. It's getting serious and a lot of the teams' Playoff hopes are on the line this weekend. It's going to be competitive but let's make sure we maintain our high level of sportsmanship.

- The 6 make-up games from Week 1 will be played in Week 6 and Week 7. We secured a gym in Walnut and the GYMS have been updated. I will post the schedule as soon as Monday morning and your team has until Thursday to make arrangements. Teams that paid first will receive priority in scheduling.

March 5, 2007

Once Upon a "DIME",

- Okay okay... this is really, really, really irritating me and I always try to be as professional as can be. So a game just ended and I'm walking to my car to get my camera and guess what I see. A player from TEAM DIME smoking. ARE YOU SERIOUS?! I'm not trying to a principal or a moderator. I don't even want to play baby-sitter but seriously. I could care less if you smoke your lungs out because when we chill at a club, I'll be smoking with you. NO DOUBT. But we're at a school, MANG. At a SCHOOL. Because Team Dime didn't adhere to the
NO SMOKING rule once again, the League will be providing the team with an option to either pay an additional $50 fine or suspend the player caught smoking.

- Why are we so strict when it comes to the
NO SMOKING policy? Because we lost a gym and everything is now delayed a week. Because everything is delayed a week, the open weekend that we had set aside for our 1st Basketball Tournament will have to wait until Summer because... everything was delayed. Now...why was it delayed? Because of Palomares and because OUR players left cigarette butts on the school grounds.

- Platinum Division level is the toughest division whereas Gold Division is just for fun. Recreational. So what if you win in Gold, you're playing with boys, not men. With that said...

The competition will always be tougher in Platinum and we want each Platinum team to have a lower level team support them in case anything goes wrong. Flight One's Team Captain, Anthony Palacol, was thinking of 'promoting' one of his players from Gold to Platinum. Dynasty, Swish, and Game Breakers will not have enough players in the following weeks and need a team to back them up in the next few weeks. For next season, ONLY PLATINUM DIVISION TEAMS can add players from their Gold Division team and the deadline to add players would be in Week 4. That player can play for both GOLD DIVISION and PLATINUM DIVISION teams but can only play for 1 PLATINUM DIVISION TEAM.

Dime Moderator,

COMMISH.
