DELAYS

AUGUST 19, 2007

Between a bad internet connection and countless meetings, there were delays this week on the recaps, standings, and sortable stats.

a) Recaps were late because I normally do them on Thursday night and that's when my modem went to hell.

b) Standings were late only because... what's the point of writing some of the standings when teams want to switch match-ups on Wednesday, Thursday night?? There are too many schedule requests and those should only be used for emergencies. Deadline for ALL schedule request is Tuesday night. I'm going to post schedules as soon as Sunday night, Monday morning.

c) Sortable Stats weren't done for this week because I'm still finding a lot of teams that only have first name players. We need to have last names and players need to work with us on this. Think about how unprofessional this sounds, "Pedro from Foundation 2.5 scored 40 points." Pedro who? Diamond Division, it's cool to have nicknames but when you're in Gold you need to have a last name, unless your name is Pele, then we can play futbol or something.

THE MANDATORY STATS MEETING WENT WELL. I'll have the minutes as soon as Sunday Morning. Congratulations to new Head Stats-keeper, Ryan Francisco. All stats-people report to him. You can read the minutes as soon as it's posted.

UPDATES

AUGUST 22, 2007

- There are no GAMES ON LABOR DAY WEEKEND. While everyone is taking the weekend off, we'll have all the rosters up during the week break.

- Internet connection went down twice in the last week. One more time and I think I'll change my service but for now, everything is running smoothly.
