Even if it's against 4 players from Game Breakers, a triple-double is still a feat that is noteworthy. Not only did Freestyle bounce back from a forgettable game against Foundation but they recorded a season-high 112 points. Steven Watts posted the first ever Superstar triple double recording 15 points, 11 assists, 21 rebounds. His 11 assists is also a new record. Congratulations Steven, you are the Player of the Week.

CODE OF CONDUCT

May 15, 2007

Hanz Jimenez
COMMISH

Let's be perfectly clear here. There is absolutely Zero Tolerance for fighting. ZERO.

We have to be consistent with the suspensions and the rulings that we've made in the past. An altercation occurred in the final minutes of the Foundation vs Freestyle game and the game had to be stopped. The League will finalize their decision on Tuesday Night, May 15, 2006.

What else does this mean? Well, in the past, we have delayed Game Logs and Stats after an altercation occurs. We'll have it up as soon as the verdict is out.

ROSTER ADD-ONS

May 15, 2007

The new rule was... a player had to have played the first 2 games in order to be added on the roster. In addition, GMs were told in Week 2 that if a player were going to be added, add the name on the roster despite the player not being available. If the player isn't on that sheet, the player isn't on the roster.

There were exceptions:
- Outkast Connection, Mike Hall.
Work Schedule, but called on Week 1 to be added to the roster.
- Abstract
Tommy Avalos took over the team and had until the end of the 2nd game to finalize his roster.
- Foundation
Because their Week 2 game against Angkor Wat was postponed, their Co-Captain, Christian Gopez had until Week 3 to add a player to a roster.
- Relics
A player has been added to the roster due to bereavement.

To clear things up... Derrick DeVan isn't on a roster and WILL NOT be added to any team's roster this season. Derrick playing for Deacons was a teaser... that's all it was.

GOING FOR TWO
Platinum Division: Deacons Oscar Mendoza returned from traveling in Asia hoping his team, Deacons would hold it down while he was gone. Jester Jovan assured him that the Defending Champs is still undefeated and going for 2 straight isn't out of the question.
SCHOOL OF HARD KNOX
#1 Stunners Terrence Taylor stops Young Gunnaz Andrew Knox from driving the lane. 51 may be an easy task in the recreational Gold Division but in the Platinum Division, even Alex "Bear" Ivezaj is impressed with the competitive play.
HEATING UP
626'ers Josh Fry shoots two of his 17 points against Angkor Wat. The team would lose to the Reigning Gold Division Champs, 80-71.
Franchise MySpace page:  This Sunday we will not disappoint baby, damn this Franchise page looks so sick.
Joseph Flores on Khorn Leng's attendance:  Dude u better stop missing games u think i like losing or what.
Game Officials on Commish's disciplinary actions:  You want to maintain the integrity of the League, you gotta hand out severe disciplinary actions.

Bio:
Born in Monterey Park, California, Phenomenon was born into a musical family. Being the third offspring of a drummer (father) and a singer (mother) he had music written in his DNA.

Phenomenon's journey led him to West Covina, CA where he picked up a pad and paper and wrote rhymes with his brothers. That time with his brothers lit a fire inside of him that til this day is burning bright.

Though he continued to write lyrics, his passion for rhyming was occasionally put aside as he dabbled in other activites (Basketball, tennis, ladies, etc...). Phenomenon started to fall back in love with hip hop when his brother helped him buy a set of turntables and a mixer. He started his own DJ crew with high school classmate DJ Analog, who flourished as a turntablist and quickly overshadowed Phenomenon who quit because he coudn't hang with Analog (just kidding). He put his dj days behind him because he joined Markfader, Konscious K and Jo-Well in the ANTIDOTES ov HIPHOP.

A.ov.HH stands for everything Phenomenon believes in. His mission is to spread the music to all the corners of the world, starting in L.A.

Q&A:
1. How does basketball and hip hop go hand in hand?

They both require passion in order to succeed. You gotta work on your craft everyday in order to improve.

2. We heard some of the songs in the new Antidotes ov Hip Hop album. What's your favorite track in your current LP?

My favorite track is probabaly "Potential Energy" because i really like the beat and the concept of the track. I like tracks that let you look a little deeper into the personalities of the artists and my verse is pretty much based on my high school career, so i like that aspect of the track.

3. We noticed you led the Platinum Division in blocks last season and you are still one the most underrated defensive players in the League. How do you go unnoticed?

Its a little hard to see me because I get lost amongst all the 9-foot giants in the league. I do alot of things that don't necessarily show up in the stat sheets. My job is to make my teammates lives easier, by boxing out, playing defense, setting picks, finding the open man.

4. In Superstar Basketball League, which team did you like playing for? What's your favorite rivalry? What's your natural position?

It was nice to win a championship with Foundation, and to play with my friends on the Phenoms. But nothing beats playing with my family on Swish. The most fun rivalry for me was Phenoms vs Thrillers, but my favorite to watch has gotta be Xplosion vs. Global Gym. They both go out so hard on each other because they play with pride, I really respect that. My natural position used to be a small forward, but as my game matured I settled into a big man position.

5. You won the Championship with Foundation in the 1st Season. Do you see yourself winning another Championship?

Hopefully, but with all the talent that is coming in every season, I hate to say im doubtful. But who knows where my teams will end up. Anything can happen.
