COMMISH

There were a lot of questions asked on why Mindstate called it quits just after 2 weeks... I'm not one to dwell on the past so let's just move on...

Sortable stats are finally up. Like we mentioned... the first 2 weeks are the busiest times and teams are still trying to finalize their roster. That's done now so....

CHECK IT OUT

There are several teams that haven't made a complete payment. Teams who have do not make a complete payment by May 10 will not be scheduled for games in Week 4.

Lastly, we try hard to schedule games. Sometimes, it's impossible for us to move game times around specially if the teams who paid first are high on the priority list. Sometimes, we just gotta tough it out.

DEACONS NEW PG?
The demise of Mindstate has free agent, Derrick DeVan, wanting to play for defending Champs, Deacons.
LAYUP DRILLS
Zero Balance ran layup drills against their friends from Team Relics, 91-56. The first part of the season has been a tough stretch for Relics while Zero Balance is undefeated at 3-0.
OUT-CAST CONNECTION
Brian Lumbreras of Gold Division's Outkast Connection suffered a foot injury against BBC on January 28, 2007. A season later, he returned on the court against that same team but was unable to lead Outkast past Rated R Superstars (BBC), 68-66.
NOT WINLESS ANYMORE
The crowd was out for the Hippos and Franchise game and it was the loudest crowd all weekend. Hippos came back in the 4th quarter to be Franchise, 35-33.
Thrillers on High Five:  We know they scout our players, at the same time we have them figured out. There's no secret here... it's just a matter of execution come game-time.
Angkor Wat on Relics:  Think your playing our other team in Zero Balance this Sunday, 1-2 will not be a good start. Good Luck Sunday.
League opinion on Mindstate:  Some people just play with no heart.

FEATURED ARTIST
Markfader of Antidotes ov Hip Hop

Bio:
Residing in the suburbs of Los Angeles, Markfader grew interest in the turntable world a few years before entering high school. Never owning a set of turntables and a mixer, Markfader always looked forward going to his buddy's house and house parties, since that was the only time he was able to mix and scratch. Before mixing hip-hop, he first started with house and old school booty bass. Being very open to many genres of music, Markfader is heavily influenced by jazz & soul, which is highlighted in many of his tracks. Mainly a heavy software-based producer, experimentation began in his early years of high school. He first started writing and recording verses over loops of Madlib, Pete Rock, Sound Providers. But once graduated and upgrading to higher quality softwares, he then turned all his focus to recording and production. Late 2004, Markfader assembled a group, Antidotes ov Hip-Hop, with longtime friends who share the same idea of making music for the love and to give people's ears more than what they're accustomed to. Recorded many tracks in his in-house studio, his and the group's current focus is making a buzz in the scene. Whether passing out cds of beats and recorded tracks, or performing in venues all over California.

Q&A:
1. How would u say hip hop and basketball compare?
We all work hard to develop our skills and hopefully showcase those skills on the big stage.

2. Who's your favorite team?

Borat says Lakers and Antidotes is NiCcEeE so obviously I gotta concur with my boy Bo-to-th-Rat. I'll beat anyone in 2k7 with the Lakers. Get at me.
