Deacons was triumphant in the Platinum Division Championship Game while Angkor Wat won the Championship in the Gold Division. Congratulations to both teams for winning the 'chip and while the final four focused on winning their first Championship, the rest of the league were trying to stack up their rosters. Our news reporters have worked diligently to get the inside scoop on some of the teams that are already gearing up for next season.

DOUBLE-CROSS
Former MVP, Lalo Arroyo, recently joined the resident cellar-dwellers,Thrillers. His main motivation was to finally prove his rival, Rated-R General Manager, Andrew Persaud, wrong. While the resident cellar-dwellers are working on recruiting talent to upgrade their roster, don't be surprised to see Lalo change his mind last minute and join Rated-R. He won his first Championship with Foundation and left the team just one season to pursuit a Championship with his buddies from high school, Global Gym. A 3rd ring is what he really wants and knowing that Thrillers doesn't have enough talent to fulfill his appetite might just motivate Lalo to leave the team for a title-contender.

IF YOU CAN'T BEAT THEM, JOIN THEM
This just in!! It's been reported that Abstract's animosity clearly got the best of them in the regular season and a lot of the inner turmoil had a lot to do with the personnel on their team. "They had a bunch of players who were guards..." said Thrillers' General Manager, Justin Reyes. On their last game, they played against Deep Penetration, a team that had a tall lineup but was deprived of guards who can handle the ball. Word is that General Manager, Kris Carrillo, is looking for guards who can distribute the ball and the 2 time All Star would be he perfect fit.

FREESTYLE-SWISH REUNION
When Swish entered the League, most people realized that it was only a matter of time until their friends from Freestyle joined Superstar Basketball since both teams are relatively close. They've played in other leagues before and the backcourt from Swish would complement the tough Freestyle frontcourt that led the Platinum Division in rebounding last season. Rumor has it that a reunion is in the works.

DIFFERENT STATE OF MIND
Reigning MVP, Derrick DeVan, leaves Mindstate. The team were undefeated in the Regular Season and was almost guaranteed a win in the Championship Game.Derrick sat out and rumor has it that he faked the injury to watch his teammates lose. We have a difficult time believing the rumor and take it for what it is, a rumor. On a side note, we did see him hang out with #1 Stunners...

POSTER BOY SAVES FORMER TEAM
At the end of the Inaugural Season, Elements General Manager, Luke Montilla, rightfully left the team to pursuit a Championship with his own team. The season after, Dynasty went on to play in the Championship Game while Luke was shunned from participating in the Playoffs. Dynasty fell apart last season and knowing that Luke has won several Franchise Owner awards, it would be ironic if he were to come in and save his former team.

DEAD END?
Four teams (Dead End, Dime, Flight One, Swish) didn't return for the upcoming Spring Season and a lot of General Managers are looking to pick up several Free Agents. It would be interesting to see some of these teams merge with teams like Outkast and Flight One obviously merging, and Swish and Freestyle making a probable reunion. Dime Thriller? Dead End Dynasty?
