Deacons vs. Aztecs - Week 7 Rivalry Kick off Game

#1 Stunners and Foundation.... we are representing Superstar Basketball. You're not only representing yourself but us as a whole so please be in your best behavior. One team will lose, the other will win, it's part of the game, please maintain your composure. It's just a game.

The Kid and Matt Lewis are the interim General Managers for Foundation. Ultimately one of them will be the GM next season. I will not be playing for Foundation any longer. The EMPIRE is looking for a new leader....   It's all fun and games so don't take it too seriously.

Thanks and see you at the game tomorrow........

Playoffs FAQ's

DECEMBER 8, 2007

COMMISH

1. Why is it that you never post game stats? At this point of the season, you either win and go to the next round or you go home. We keep have the stats and we will write about the games but after losing in the Playoffs, does anyone really want to look at their stats. The stats junkies love their stats... but all that doesn't matter in the Playoffs.

2. Why are scores never posted on the brackets? Almost the same logic as the question above. League consensus suggest that everyone only cares about what team goes to the next round.

3. OMG, I am so excited that I'm playing at the Anaheim Convention Center for the Championship Game. I want my family to go, do you have any tickets? YES. Tickets are $15 each. Please e-mail the following below. Game time is at 4:30 p.m on Friday, December 21.

ANAHEIM CONVENTION CENTER
- Available only for Diamond Division Championship Game.
- Friday, December 21, 2007 at 4 p.m.
- Enjoy an NBDL game right after.
Anaheim Arsenals vs. Colorado 14'ers at 7:30 p.m.

4. I'm bummed. Our team lost but I'm excited about next season. However, I dont think I'm playing with my team, any new teams looking to pick me up? All free agents should register at our forum. FORUM.

5. When does next season start? When is registration? Our 7th Season starts on January 20. Registration begins on Christmas Day.

6. Commish, for two straight seasons, your team has gone to the finals. Foundation and Main Event last season, and now it's Foundation and USUCK. Is this thing rigged? Why of course it is. Reggie is my best friend, the refs are my puppets and I am like Commissioner Stern except I'm 4 feet tall.

Of course I say that with sarcasm. But real talk... As a player, I play ball consistently at the gym. As a GM, I've picked up players who are dedicated to the team and have basketball IQ. My USUCK players ball with me at the gym and fortunately we're in the Finals thanks to Derrick's MVP play. For Foundation, it had to come down to the wire with The Kid's "and-1" four point play but he did make the shot. As a League Commissioner, it's disturbing to hear people say refs are biased, blah-blah-blah. They could care less who wins the game, they still get paid. I don't favor any teams even my own, 626'ers-USUCK-Foundation all played back-to-back games during the Playoffs, no rest in between, so I'm wondering why teams still complain about my teams winning? It's come down to the point where I don't even play for Foundation anymore and I only play to avoid a forfeit.

TO summarize all this, I'm not going to be the GM for any teams next year so Foundation and USUCK are looking for new General Managers. I still want to play...so if any teams are looking for a backup point guard who passes to the wall on fast breaks... holler at yo boy.

Media Day

DECEMBER 8, 2007

COMMISH

Week 8, the last week.

Often referred to as Media Day. That's when your team gets to take pictures such as this. Please arrive early...

Gold Division. A lot of Playoff implications are in play in the Gold Division. We'll have it sorted out by Monday morning. Quick reminder, if 3 teams are tied, and a team hasn't played the other team, then the team that defeated a higher ranked team would earn the tie-breaker. If 3 teams are tied and a team defeated all the other teams, it would proceed that. For example... Money Shot, Regulators and Nusantara are all tied. Money Shot beat Regulators. Money Shot hasn't played Nusantara. If Playoffs started on Week 7, then Regulators would still rank higher because they defeated the higher ranked team, Underdawgs. It's been like that in the past... as far back as Winter 2007.

Women's Division. Democratically, 2 teams voted for having an extra week. Playoffs start on December 16. First Round is in the Morning and the Finals are early in the afternoon.

General Managers. Please fill out the game log 10 minutes before your game. A survey will be handed to you so you can fill it out.

Stats-keepers. Please read the website tonight. We'll be voting on MVP, Defensive Player of the Season, Rookie of the Season... so stick around after the games are done.

To ALL Women's Division General Managers....
PLEASE CLICK HERE

Originally the Women’s Division teams were scheduled to play 6 games.

There is a tie between Smokin Aces and The Loop for the 3 and 4 spot and to break the tie-breaker, we can do the following:

  1. Play an extra game so that each team would play 7 games.
    1. In the future, 7 games will be played for the Women’s Division instead of 6 games.
    2. Playoffs start at the same time as the Men’s Division. 1st Round will be on 12/16 and Finals will be on 12/23.

  1. Play an extra game so that each team would play 7 games.
    1. Playoffs including 1st Round and Finals will be on 12/16

  1. Smokin Aces would earn the tie breaker because of the point spread from both games. It’s not in the rule book that Aces would earn the tie-breaker so this would be a precedent.
    1. New Rule: We could implement the new rule next season that if there’s a tie-breaker, we’ll base the tie-breaker on the point spread.
    2. Playoffs start this Sunday for the Women’s Division. 1st Round will be on 12/9 and Finals will be on 12/16

Please respond by Wednesday. Thanks.
