To ALL Women's Division General
Managers....
PLEASE CLICK
HERE
Originally the Women’s Division teams were
scheduled to play 6 games.
There
is a tie between Smokin Aces and The Loop for
the 3 and 4 spot and to break the tie-breaker,
we can do the following:
-
Play an extra game so that each team would
play 7 games.
-
In the future, 7 games will be played
for the Women’s Division instead of 6
games.
-
Playoffs start at the same time as the
Men’s Division. 1st Round
will be on 12/16 and Finals will be on
12/23.
-
Play an extra game so that each team would
play 7 games.
-
Playoffs including 1st Round
and Finals will be on 12/16
-
Smokin Aces would earn the tie breaker
because of the point spread from both games.
It’s not in the rule book that Aces would
earn the tie-breaker so this would be a
precedent.
-
New Rule: We could implement the new
rule next season that if there’s a
tie-breaker, we’ll base the tie-breaker
on the point spread.
-
Playoffs start this Sunday for the
Women’s Division. 1st Round
will be on 12/9 and Finals will be on
12/16
Please
respond by Wednesday. Thanks.

On behalf of Superstar
Basketball, I would like to wish everyone a
Happy Thanksgiving Day holiday. Whether you're
at church, with your families, getting ready for
Black Friday, or practicing for the 2K8
Tournament, I hope that everyone would slow down
for a minute and take a minute to count their
blessings.
Life is fast paced, sometimes
we take life for granted since we get caught up
in the daily grind. I'd like to take a minute
and thank everyone for their support. Superstar
Basketball was at 12 teams around this time last
year and it has grown to 46 teams in just a
year. I'm thankful for the new friendships I
made, I'm thankful for the old friendships I've
kept and I'm thankful that my new lifestyle has
made me a better person.
I used to be caught up with
the nightlife, going out, drinking, clubbing,
but now I'd rather be at 24/LA Fitness working
out or at home working on the website. I guess I
can say....I can thank Superstar Basketball for
making me healthier. j/k.
Real talk... it was during
Lent 2006 that I decided to sacrifice the
nightlife. I sacrificed drinking, sex, and after
4 years of clubbing, it was really hard for me
to let it go. I didn't make it easy on myself by
staying home since I actually went out, and I
even went to Vegas to prove that I can do it
under all circumstance. Not a drop of alcohol
was consumed and on Palm Sunday, during a
homily, I reminisced on my old league, St.
Martha's Basketball League. I wanted to have a
reunion with the old teams: Outkast Connection,
Funk Phenomenon, just to name a few. The
memories of playing on the blacktop during the
summer and competing with a diverse community
brought a new vision of re-starting a basketball
league. I wanted the initials SBL... and looking
up and praying, I was blessed with the name,
Superstar Basketball and its amazing how much
God has blessed me with... after finally
sacrificing what I needed to sacrifice. It's so
cliche but I'd like to thank God for all the
amazing things he's done.

Thanks to Reg for letting me know
that team stats were outdated.
I re-uploaded the files so it
should be current.
Seen a lot of PENDING articles lately?
Wrong timing.
My writers have mid-terms and
I've looked at 2 facilities in the last 2 days.
So... if anyone is interested in writing for
Superstar, please let us know so we can get you
in our staff. It's nice to hear someone else's
views from time to time.
We checked out the Anaheim Arsenals game last
Friday. Anaheim Convention Center is a nice
facility and I'll have pictures from my phone
soon...
We have another facility in
Ontario that we're checking out. We will only
have access to it on Saturdays and during the
weekdays. We'll be creating an interest list for
Saturday games and that basically means...teams
will have more flexibility to play on Saturday.
2K8 Tournament is next week so
if you guys are interested, please sign up. We
should have drinks and food after so come down
and chill anyway.
As much trash as we talk on
MySpace, NikeTalk, and all the message
boards.... I'd like to thank everyone for
recognizing it's for entertainment purposes
only. NO ONE gets "feelings" about it and we're
all adults here. Thank you again for
understanding the Zero Tolerance Rule and our
track record to date....
ZERO FIGHTS.
Let's keep it that way...
Thanks.
