Preseason Week 1 Week 2 Week 3 Week 4 Week 5 Week 6 Week 7 Week 8 PLAYOFFS  ALL STAR WEEKEND
WEEK 1

WELCOME TO OUR 6th SEASON.

The off-season was only two weeks long for most teams but the savviest GMs were busy adding the right pieces to their roster.

The Diamond Division (highest level) teams are stacking up like they should be while some Gold Division (lowest level) teams are finally realizing that the higher level of competition is where they should be.

Opening Weekend

OCTOBER 15, 2007

The 6th season started and from the games we observed... I could have sworn it was Rivalry Weekend already. There were a lot of competitive games and the level of competition was already higher compared to last season. Already a lot of twists and turns and you'll see new faces on different teams...and you know what that means...

RIVALRIES are BORN.

So I just came back from the Anaheim Convention Center. We will have December 21 as our "Social Night". We will host our Diamond Division Championships there and it should be a great turnout.

The sportsmanship in our league is higher than any other league in the area...or so I've heard. The one aspect of the league that everyone respects is... simply that RESPECT. There is ZERO TOLERANCE FOR FIGHTING and after 6 Seasons, NO ONE HAS EVER FOUGHT. ZERO TOLERANCE means just that, ZERO TOLERANCE.

To all the rookies, we welcome you to the league with open arms. Remember the rules and if you haven't done so, read them now. You may be asked to get interviewed every now and then and we encourage you to be outspoken, no cursing, it's all fun and games. You'll have your picture taken for the roster so be prepared for that. Also bring Gatorade for the other team, rookies. Also the Commish likes L&L BBQ for lunch so get me a spam musubi and coke.

Oh and... thanks to the Hippos girls for those delicious Sprinkles cupcakes. I knew it was ya'lls birthdays but to give our staff some cupcakes was really thoughtful.

Thank You, Cupcakes.
Commish.

6th Season

OCTOBER 11, 2007

Welcome to the 6th season. We have 3 different gyms this season and we will balance our time between those gyms. We are in process of securing a 4th gym to make it easier for everybody but that is still pending. In the mean time, please remember that priority goes to teams who pay first. They have priority as far as gym location and time request because that is the only fair way of doing things.

Schedule for Week 1 will be finalized as of Friday, October 12, 5 p.m. PT.

If your team isn't scheduled, that means you haven't made a down payment of $150 or your team hasn't made contact with me. If you want to play your first game, please contact me so that I can put you on the schedule. Otherwise, you'll have to make up games on Week 2 and Week 3 with double-headers.

We have American Sports Center reserved for us from 2 p.m. - 10 p.m. so scheduling games won't be difficult. Last season, we had 2 teams not make a payment so you can thank Cali's Finest and Lingustic Legend's'. If you want to make payment arrangements from now until Friday, please contact me at the following:

Email: commish@superstarbasketball.org

Lastly, most of our games at Week 2 and Week 3 will be at Walnut Rec Center. Our allotted schedule is from 9 a.m. - 5 p.m. so if your team doesn't play in Week 1, they'll play a double-header in one of those weeks.

In conclusion, one last time, Rules will be finalized as of Saturday, October 13, 2007, 5 p.m. PT so please check the website for those finalized rules.

Women's Division

OCTOBER 11, 2007

Two teams have registered and two more teams are pending. I am proposing a season of 4 teams, 6 games per team. Each team will play the other team twice.

Two registered teams, THE LOOP and THEN SOME and SMOKIN ACES are ready to play in Week 2. They will be their first game on Week 2 and have the luxury of having a bye weekend the next time those two teams are scheduled to play against each other.

We're starting fresh. That means record books will count for this season, that means we have to take your pictures for your roster page so that the other teams know who you are and that means roster will be finalized by your 4th game.

We will have a staff that will take roster pictures for your 2nd game. This is for the website, nothing else so please get ready to take your picture by your 2nd game.
